We purchased Rosie from a wonderful family farm (breeder) where she was with her 12 siblings and 10 half siblings. Yeah, those are huge litters. I'd been in contact with Chantell (breeder) for a few weeks, finding the right fit for Lexi.

Lexi picked out Rosie from all the rest. She's shy, (yet sassy), and Lexi wanted "the wittle owange one, Mom!" 

So, Rosie it was. 

Lexi followed her everywhere on the farm, even climbing in the doghouse!

[Rosey] was the name the breeders gave her to help distinguish her, and Lexi wanted to keep it, so, we just changed the spelling. Not a huge fan of the name but it'll work!

We picked out Rosie down in Genola (west of Santaquin) on Saturday night and on Monday night, Lexi and I drove down to pick her up. Lexi couldn't have been more excited. Chantell (breeder) had Rosie all bathed and cute with a big tulle bow around her neck for Lexi. She was SO happy to finally "snuggle that Wosie"!

We got Rosie at age 7 weeks, which is super young, so there is a lot of training that will go into this puppy. After she is housebroken, we will begin obedience/service/therapy dog training, eventually trying to get her officially certified.

Rosie and Lexi have this "sibling" complex. Rosie likes to "bite" and jump on Lexi because Lexi gets attention. Well, duh, dog...Lexi's our kid! ;-) We're working on the biting thing!

So far she's been a good puppy, and I'm very anxious for her to get a little older so life is less "NO ROSIE" and more "GOOD DOG".

Lexi's Piggy Bank

Help us fill Lexi's Piggy Bank to pay for medical bills and spread the word about Pediatric Stroke Awareness!

Lexi Frederick, now age 2.5, was just a few weeks old when she suffered from a pediatric stroke on the left hemisphere of her brain. This caused permanent brain damage and resulted in right hemiplegia and cerebral palsy. Other lasting impacts are seizures, and sensory processing disorder. She receives treatment, therapy, and other special medical care to help her live as normally as possible. Lexi was dropped from medical insurance without being notified for  the months June through October. Luckily, we were feisty enough with the insurance that she will be covered retroactively back until July. Unfortunately, June will not be covered, leaving Lexi and her family with around $4000 worth of bills for that month. Due to Lexi's extensive medical care, this will be a monthly thing throughout her whole life. Dig in your pockets, couch cushions, cars, and back packs, pick up that extra change, and fill up Lexi's piggy bank! All change will be donated to Lexi's June 2012 medical bills. Even 25 cents makes a big difference! Lexi will pick up your change personally, or you may drop it off at Lexi's home - just let Kellie (mom) or Terrell (dad) know via email, text, or Facebook! Reminiscing. Conference Weekend 2008/2009

On Sunday we grilled burgers for Conference Weekend.

It reminded me of when Terrell and I grilled during Conference Weekend while we were dating/engaged.

The Lexi-Scarlett Files

Lexi has a cutie friend name Scarlett. I love these two girls. They look alike, act the same, share spunky/sassy behavioral traits, have the same interests, and have a lot of the same clothes and toys! They are truly two-of-a-kind. Megan and Seth - you can NEVER move away from us.

I love to see the {Draper} temple!

On September 23, Terrell and I were able to go to the Brigham City Temple dedication at our stake center (which was turned into an extension of the temple). Lexi wanted to go SO bad, and so we told her that we could go look at a temple after her nap that afternoon.

We decided the Provo Temple was probably going to be really busy with college students lounging on the grass, so we went to the Timpanogos Temple, which was under construction. Sooo, we drove up to the massive and gorgeous Draper Temple and let Lexi see it. The temple grounds were closed, so we were only able to walk around and look through the fence, but it was great! It was really windy, but we still stayed for awhile.

Lexi LOVED it. She just loves temples. I'm glad she already knows she wants to be married in the temple.
