Do you remember that song from elementary school??? That's the song that popped into my head the other day when Lexi decided she wanted to climb in the flat rate shipping box and wanted to stay there! So check your mailboxes, folks! We're shipping Lexi to you!

Lexi's Dora Adventure

For Lexi's 2nd Birthday, we let her have a friend party. We decided she can have a friend party every other year and so we started this year! We had a Dora Adventure party! The kids each got a map that depicted the way to Cupcake Forest to eat Lexi's cupcakes!

Lexi is 2!!!!!

Age: 2 years (wow!!!)

Height: 32.5 inches (10%)

Weight: 21 lbs (2%)

Loves: Dora, Barbies, books, dolls, dresses, pretending to "sleep", animals, watching shows, painting her nails

Hates: Changing out of dresses, not getting to do what she wants

Favorite food: bananas, "Princess" pudding (aka yogurt), cake, burgers

Favorite drink: Almond milk

Favorite words: "I okay!" "Weom (warm)" "Pincess (princess)" "Oh noooo!" "Self! (by myself)"

Favorite Activities: gymnastics, therapy (usually), hide and seek with Daddy, watching shows

Accomplishments: can hold a cup with 2 hands (sometimes), can hang from the bar at gymnastics, recognizes most letters and numbers

Other things we love about Lexi: She gives the best hugs, loves everyone, and is such a trooper! Lexi is very obedient and is the cutest little girl ever.

Lately: 3rd round of botox treatments, had to emergency cut off her cast due to the inability to walk (swollen and sore!), got her 3rd concussion, had a family birthday party, gets to go to Iowa for a week, decided she wants to sleep on a pillow, got a booster seat, sings and dances alllll day, and is becoming obsessed with Barbies (in addition to her Dora obsession!)

Tomorrow is Lexi's friend birthday party! It is a Dora Adventure! I will post pictures from her family party, as well as her friend party this weekend!

The Blur

As most of you know, I love Smallville. Yessss, I love Smallville. In the later seasons, Clark Kent/Superman is referred to as The Blur because people only catch a glimpse of him as a blur in a photograph, or even in real life! He's so stinkin' fast. Not to mention attractive! ; )

Anywayssss.

My dad has been so kind and has assisted us with medical and therapy type things for Lexi. Recently, at her Pediatric Rehab/PT, her therapist was pleased with her range of motion, but was concerned that she wasn't gaining any strength on her right side. Which is a definite problem. It accounts for so many of her falls, frustrations, etc. and so she over compensates with her left side. He recommended trying to do some strengthening things to try and strengthen her leg, ankle, foot, core, arm, etc. One of the things he recommended was a mini-indoor trampoline! COOL! I found one at Toys R Us and put it on hold and called my dad, and he so graciously offered to purchase it for her! What a cool grandpa! He always wants what's best for his children and grandchildren, and we are so thankful that he bought a needed therapy "toy" for her.

So, why did I bring up Smallville and why is this post called The Blur? Because of this picture right here:

Instead of the "red and blue" Blur like in Smallville, we have our very own Blur - in pink and black! Every picture I took of her is super blurry because she was jumping and swinging so much I couldn't get a decent picture! This is the "clearest" blurry picture I got! She loves it! Thanks Grandpa!

We think we're going to call it the grampaline now.

That's right folks - Lexi is holding herself up! I am SO proud of her - you wouldn't believe how hard that is for her!

I Can Do Hard Things

Lexi's therapists uses this motto and so I've started to try and incorporate it into her at-home stuff, as well as daily life. I made her a cute sign for her room and I was so proud of it I wanted to share! :)
