Rescheduled CAT Scan

The CAT Scan has been moved to this coming Wednesday because she has a cold and minor ear/nose/throat infection. The hospital's pediatric sedation people called me this afternoon to ask me questions/brief me for tomorrow, and they found out she had those minor sicknesses and has had a fever within the past 7 days (most recent = this morning!!!) they have to move it until she's healthy. The nurse explained it is because with babies, when they are sedated their breathing goes down a whole lot while they're under, and if they have a respiratory infection/fever of any kind, the likelihood that Lexi would stop breathing during the procedure is almost inevitable, and they would have to keep her in the hospital for up to a week if that happened - - - SOOOO, to avoid that happening, it's moved until Wednesday morning and hopefully she'll be better by then!

Craniosynostsis

On Friday morning, Lexi will be having a CAT scan on her skull and brain. They're checking for

Craniosynostosis. Click on the word to learn more about it - it's hard to explain. Bascially, the plates in her head could be closing sooner than they should and would not allow for future brain growth. We're thinking (HOPING) that is not what it is and she just has a small head! Her head is very porportional, and she's an incredibly smart baby so hopefully everything will be just fine! I'm very worried about her getting the CAT scan, because I can't be with her, so I'm having Terrell come with me for moral support! I love our little baby, and hopefully she can get 100% healthy soon and be able to have a normal little healthy body!

On July 3rd, we went to our aunt's house for a super fun family party! Grandma Johnson made a little skit, and Terrell was a character...but we can't remember who he was!!

Lexi made some new friends! Her cousins, or second cousins, or some kind of cousins - Abby & Sofia! They just loved her and wanted to always hold her! How cute are they?!

Our Updates

Terrell: Terrell recently got offered a job as a building security officer for BYU. He begins paperwork and training next week. He is also starting a painting job at his Grandma's house this week. He is one hard worker and we love him for taking such good care of us! He recently got a dent in his super awesome mountain bike that scratched the paint; this makes for one unhappy Terrell! On the bright side though, he got new handle-bar tape for his road bike, and new biking gloves - he looks even more official now! Hopefully, he'll be able to do a race this summer. He also turned 25 on June 12! WOW! A quarter of a century old! :) He had his favorites for his bday breakfast: mountain dew and waffles w/ice cream (and sprinkles)...see the last pic on this post!

Kellie: I still have mono which will hopefully be gone SOON! I'm ready to be done with it! I also have major back problems as of lately - I threw out my back yesterday pretty bad and I think that I'm just destined to have something wrong with me at all times! :) I've been working on my show choir camp, Music in Motion, which is in about 4 weeks and I'm real excited about that!

Lexi: Lexi is just over 4 months now! I can't believe she's already at 4 months! She had her checkup yesterday. She weighs 10 lbs 9 oz which is still in the about 0% but it's really good for her! She is 23.5 inches long. Also, the doctor said that she is stronger and smarter than the average 4 month old which made us feel pretty good! :) She does have slightly cross-eyed eyes, and so she has to go see the optometrist tomorrow to get that checked out before it gets worse. Also, her head circumference is not what it should be, yet it's perfectly proportional, and so they're concerned about that - in 2 weeks we have to take her to get her head measured again and if it doesn't improve, we take her to Primary Children's Hospital to get a head/brain CT scan. The are 3 reasons that could factor in: 1. Brain isn't growing like it should which the doctor says is not likely since she is so smart and advanced 2. Plates in skull are closing too soon, which is a slight possibility or 3. She just has a small head :) We'll see in 2 weeks! Other than that, she's as silly as can be and the wiggliest baby I know! We love her so much! And she's sooo dang cute! She loves to do "Super Lexi" where you hold her up like she's flying (see picture below)!

Family: We had our first garage sale a few weekends ago and it went better than planned! We made about $90 which is WAY better than expected!! We also gave a TON of stuff to DI and we still have more to give....major spring cleaning! We also attended the Monavie Convention in SLC at the Salt Palace - let's just say, I didn't like Monavie and that whole deal and now I'm SOLD. I didn't realize how awesome of a business this was until just recently. I can't really think of anything else right now....so enjoy the pictures!
