Iowa with the Ormonds

Unfortunately, Lexi didn't play much with the Ormond crew. Dallin and Lexi kinda butted heads a little bit and Mr. TyTy just did his own thing! I did get a few pictures of them though!

Lexi & the Evans Kids

My brother and his family stayed at my mom's house as well so Lexi got lots of time with the Evans and Ormond cousins! I just wish the Jespersen cousins could've been over all the time, too! Lexi is really good buddies with all her cousins, but I've felt like Lexi and Wesley have always had a special connection. He has always been so sweet with her, and I remember him always making sure to include Lexi in everyone's prayers while she was going through her initial medical stuff. What sweet cousins she has! Kamiah and Wesley carried Lexi around in a bucket. It was one of the funniest things I've ever seen! Her little head was the only thing you could see in that blue bucket while they carried her around!

I wish I could've gotten an actual picture of Lexi the bucket head but they turned out cute anyways!

Lexi fell down a lot playing with her cousins so much so we put her helmet on. She did NOT want it on, but Wesley was so cute and he and Scott went and found an old bike helmet in the garage so Wesley and Lexi could match! Dallin joins in too! He wanted a helmet but couldn't find any more! Shucks!

I absolutely love this picture because you can see how happy Lexi is and how much she loves her cousin, Wesley! Also to note that that stuffed dog is Wesley's special dog "Benny"

Lexi and Porter

The day after we got to Iowa, we went over to hang out with my Mindy and her family. Lexi loves all of her cousins so much! The one she bonded with the most that day though, was Porter. They had so much fun together and she just wanted her "Pourda"! They played a matching game, ran around, played with toys, and WRESTLED! Lexi can hold her own with her 8 year old cousin; that or he was playing nice (I think that was it! :D). 

The next morning, before 6am, Lexi woke up and said "Where my Pourda?" I said, "Go back to sleep Lexi, none of your cousins are awake yet!"

Adventures at the Airport.

Last week, we were so lucky to be able to head to Iowa for Jodi's Spring Show. I'll have lots of posts to come about our great trip!

Let's begin by talking about the airport. Oh, Denver Airport - how I despise you so.

8:00am - We board at Provo Airport

8:20am - They take forever de-icing our plane.

9:02am- The meany flight attendant made me wake up Lexi, who was sleeping in my arms, so she could sit in her own seat buckled up. Seriously??? You're already serving drinks and I bet the seat belt light is going to turn off in about 2 seconds.

9:04am - Told you so, you meany flight attendant. The light is off! :-p

10:16am - We arrrive in Denver and SPRINT from Gate A24 to A48...because our connecting flight left at 10:22am.

10:20am - My arms are dead from carrying Lexi and our carry-ons all the way across the A-terminal. We had 2 minutes to spare! WAHOO!

10:20am - I find out our flight left at 10:18am...EARLY! The punks.

10:26am - I head back down the terminal to find the stupid customer service desk. Meanwhile, I'm talking on the phone to my dad.

10:30am - The next flight they have is at 7:55PM! WHAT?! I asked for a different airline. They said no.

10:35am - I got buy a stupid pillow so Lexi can take a nap. Who charges $15 for a kid fish shaped pillow?!

10:45am - I make my way to gate A31 to find a secluded corner to spend the next 10 hours in. TEN hours. With a 2 year old.

10:55am - I lay down next to Lexi praying she'll fall asleep. We're in a dang airport.

11:00am - I cry. This is dumb.

11:10am - I see cops escorting 3 gansta lookin' females OFF the plane at the gate we were at.

11:15am - More cops come. I listen in.

11:25am - I've concluded it was a little battle with a flight attendant earning them a police escort. Suspicion is confirmed when I hear the cop talking on the walkie-talkie/phone asking for the FBI. Luckily, he came by the corner we were in, so I got the whole scoop.

11:30am - The 3 ghetto females are being charged with assault and battery against a filght attendant. Is this realllly happening?!?!

11:40am -The FBI arrives. The agent was decked out in all black, with a vest that said FBI across the back. Gun, cuffs, badge....is this a TV show?! Meanwhile I'm texting my sister who has an FBI agent for a husband...what the heck?

11:45am -The ghetto chicks have the nerve to ask where a bar is in the airport so they can smoke and drink while they're waiting for the other agents....are you kidding? I swear, i'm on TV right now!

11:50am - Three more FBI agents arrive, these guys aren't decked out in all black - just khaki cargo pants, blazers, guns, and their badges.

11:52am - The ghetto chicks are being escorted out of the airport by the FBI and the cops. Wow. This really happened!

4:10pm - It's been a long day. I cannot stand being at the airport ANY LONGER!!!!

4:50pm - Lexi has a seizure. Seriously? Stupid stress levels from this airport hassle make my baby girl have a seizure?! Frontier Airlines is going down.

5:30pm - I change Lexi into jammies. I cannot believe how long we have been at the airport.

7:15pm - They change our gate. Seriously? I've been camping out in A31 all day for nothin'!

7:40pm - BOARDING! Good-bye lame-o Denver!

8:00pm - We take off. SWEET! Lexi falls asleep immediately.

10:03pm - The air becomes so turbulent, everyone was screaming and gasping and throwing up. I fought so hard not to throw up, but finally I couldn't take it anymore. Where's that dumb barf-bag?!?!

10:30pm - I swear on my life that I am never ever flying EVER again. Lexi slept through the whole flight - including the turbulent fiasco. Thank you for your prayers, family!!!

10:35pm - We finally land. Alleluia.

Fun day huh? Yeah...it was intense! 

Funny thing is, it happened to Terrell on Friday on his way out as well! (Not the FBI part...but the airport part). What's the deal Frontier? You're lame. We wrote letters of complaint - their response? "Too bad for you, but it wasn't our fault. You will be receiving $0 in compensation." Like I said. You're LAME!
